•Use alexa.com: Type or paste the URL into alexa.com's search box and click “Go.”
Click on the link marked "Get Traffic Stats for:"
From here you can see traffic details, sites that link to the page, and the contact/ownership info for the domain name.

•Use either the Librarians Internet Index (http://lii.org/) or Internet Public Library http://www.ipl.org/ to search for sources that have already been evalauated.

•Also remember that Pine Manor College maintains lists of quality websites to use for work both under “Web Resources” http://www.pmc.edu/web-resources and for each subject specific research guide http://www.pmc.edu/subject-guides
